1. Introduction
Welcome to the official Terms and Conditions for the Burton Pride C.I.C. Raffle 2026.
These terms explain how the raffle will be run, who can enter, how tickets can be purchased, how payments are handled, how winners will be chosen, what prizes are available, and how personal data will be stored and used.
By buying raffle tickets, you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. These rules are in place to make sure the raffle is run fairly, safely, legally, and transparently for everyone taking part.
Burton Pride C.I.C. wants all supporters to feel confident that the raffle is being managed responsibly and that all money raised will be used for community benefit.
2. The Promoter
The promoter of the raffle is Burton Pride C.I.C.
The raffle is licensed by East Staffordshire Council under registration number SL0507.
Burton Pride C.I.C. is a grassroots, community-led Community Interest Company created by the community, for the community.
The raffle has been created to help raise vital funds for Burton Pride 2026 and the wider work of Burton Pride C.I.C. Money raised will help support inclusive events, safer spaces, visibility, accessibility, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies in Burton on Trent.
3. Community Benefit Statement
Burton Pride C.I.C. is an ethical Community Interest Company. This means we are here for community benefit, not personal gain.
Money raised through the raffle will be used to support Burton Pride 2026, community activities, inclusive events, safer spaces, accessibility, visibility, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies in Burton on Trent.
Burton Pride C.I.C. does not take raffle money, donations, or community fundraising money for personal profit. Any money raised is put back into the organisation and used to benefit the community.
As a community-led organisation, Burton Pride C.I.C. believes in transparency, trust, fairness, and community-first values. We aim to handle funds, personal data, and community support responsibly and respectfully at all times.
4. Eligibility
The raffle is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 years or over.
Tickets must not be sold to, or purchased by, anyone under the age of 18.
Tickets must not be bought on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
By entering the raffle, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are a resident of Great Britain, and that you are eligible to take part.
Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or disqualify any entry if there are reasonable grounds to believe that a person is under 18, not eligible to enter, has provided false information, has bought tickets on behalf of someone under 18, or has breached these Terms and Conditions.
If Burton Pride C.I.C. becomes aware that a ticket has been purchased by, or on behalf of, someone under the age of 18, the entry will be invalid and will not be included in the draw.
5. Age and Identity Checks
You must be aged 18 or over and be a resident of Great Britain to buy Burton Pride C.I.C. raffle tickets.
By purchasing raffle tickets, you confirm that the information you provide is true and accurate.
Burton Pride C.I.C. may ask for proof of age, identity, or eligibility before confirming a winner or releasing a prize.
This may be requested if Burton Pride C.I.C. has reasonable concerns about a person’s age, eligibility, identity, contact details, or raffle entry.
If suitable proof is not provided when reasonably requested, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to withhold the prize, cancel the entry, redraw the prize, or use the prize for future fundraising events.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will not normally ask every person buying a ticket to upload ID before purchasing. However, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to request proof of age or identity where it is necessary to protect the fairness, legality, and safety of the raffle.
Any proof of age or identity provided will only be used for raffle verification purposes and will be handled in line with UK data protection law.
6. Entry Requirements
Tickets are priced at £1 each, or £5 for a book of 5 tickets.
Payment must be made in full before an entry is valid. If payment is not completed, fails, is cancelled, or cannot be confirmed, the raffle entry will not be accepted.
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, unless the raffle is cancelled by Burton Pride C.I.C. or Burton Pride C.I.C. decides that a refund is appropriate.
Entrants must provide correct contact details when purchasing tickets. This includes a name, phone number, email address, and any other required information requested on the raffle entry form.
These details are needed so Burton Pride C.I.C. can confirm entries, manage the raffle, contact winners, carry out any required age or eligibility checks, and deal with raffle-related enquiries.
It is the responsibility of the entrant to make sure their contact details are accurate. Burton Pride C.I.C. cannot be held responsible if a winner cannot be contacted because incorrect or incomplete details were provided.
Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to disqualify any entry if there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, fraud, misuse, false information, underage entry, or any action that may affect the fairness or integrity of the raffle.
7. Ticket Confirmation
Once payment has been received, the raffle entry will be recorded by Burton Pride C.I.C.
For online purchases, payments are processed through Stripe. Once Stripe confirms that payment has been completed successfully, the raffle entry can be confirmed.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will use the details provided by the entrant to manage and confirm the raffle entry. Entrants should keep any confirmation emails, receipts, or payment records for their own reference.
If there is a problem with your entry or payment, please contact Burton Pride C.I.C. as soon as possible so the issue can be looked into.
8. The Draw
The raffle draw will take place on 27th June 2026 at the Burton Pride 2026 main event.
Winners will be selected at random by pulling ticket stubs from a bucket.
The draw will be carried out fairly and transparently. Burton Pride C.I.C. will take reasonable steps to make sure every valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
The results of the draw are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to update the draw arrangements if required due to circumstances outside of our control. This may include changes caused by safety issues, event changes, weather, venue requirements, licensing requirements, or other unexpected circumstances.
Any important updates about the raffle or draw will be shared through official Burton Pride C.I.C. channels where possible.
9. Prizes
The raffle prizes are:
- First prize: £100
- Second prize: £60
- Third prize: £30
Prizes are non-transferable.
No cash alternatives will be offered for non-cash prizes, unless Burton Pride C.I.C. states otherwise.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will make reasonable efforts to provide the prizes as advertised. However, if a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside of our control, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to offer a suitable replacement prize where appropriate.
Winners will be contacted using the details provided when buying raffle tickets.
Before a prize is released, Burton Pride C.I.C. may ask the winner to confirm their age, identity, contact details, or eligibility.
If a prize is unclaimed after 28 days, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to use the prize for future fundraising events or make alternative arrangements for the prize.
10. Contacting Winners
Winners will be contacted using the name, phone number, and email address provided at the time of entry.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will make reasonable efforts to contact each winner. This may include contacting them by email, phone, or another appropriate method using the details supplied.
If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, does not provide suitable proof of age or identity when reasonably requested, or does not claim their prize within 28 days, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to withdraw the prize and use it for future fundraising events.
Entrants are responsible for providing correct contact details. Burton Pride C.I.C. is not responsible for missed winner notifications where incorrect or incomplete information has been provided.
11. Refunds
All raffle ticket payments are considered final.
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, unless the raffle is cancelled by Burton Pride C.I.C. or Burton Pride C.I.C. decides that a refund is appropriate.
Refunds will not normally be given if an entrant changes their mind, provides incorrect details, is later found to be ineligible, fails an age or identity check, or breaches these Terms and Conditions.
If a duplicate or invalid entry is made, Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to invalidate the entry and may not issue a refund.
12. Payments and Security
All online raffle payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Stripe handles card and payment information through its own secure payment system. Burton Pride C.I.C. does not process, store, or manage full card details on its own systems.
Burton Pride C.I.C. does not have access to full debit card or credit card numbers used through Stripe.
Burton Pride C.I.C. only receives payment confirmation information needed to confirm raffle entries and manage the raffle.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will never ask anyone to send full card details, bank details, passwords, or payment information by email, message, or social media.
If you receive a message claiming to be from Burton Pride C.I.C. asking for card details, bank details, or payment information, please treat it as suspicious. Do not respond with payment details. Contact Burton Pride C.I.C. directly using official contact details to check whether the message is genuine.
13. Data Protection and Privacy
Burton Pride C.I.C. is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data responsibly.
We collect your name, phone number, email address, ticket information, payment confirmation status, and any message you choose to provide.
If required, Burton Pride C.I.C. may also request proof of age, identity, or eligibility before confirming a winner or releasing a prize.
This information is collected solely to administer the raffle, confirm your entry, contact you if you win, manage prizes, carry out age or eligibility checks where necessary, deal with raffle-related enquiries, and meet any record-keeping or audit requirements linked to the raffle.
The legal basis for processing this information is that it is necessary for your entry into the raffle and for Burton Pride C.I.C. to manage the raffle properly.
Personal data belonging to non-winners will be securely destroyed within 28 days of the draw.
Winner data will be kept for 6 months to satisfy audit and record-keeping requirements.
Any proof of age or identity requested will only be kept for as long as necessary to complete the verification process, unless Burton Pride C.I.C. is legally required to keep it for longer.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will not sell your personal data.
Burton Pride C.I.C. will not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your information will only be accessible to authorised members of the Burton Pride C.I.C. team who need access to manage the raffle, confirm entries, contact winners, complete necessary checks, and deal with raffle-related enquiries.

Tickets must only be bought by people aged 18 or over.
Please take part responsibly and only buy tickets if you are comfortable doing so.
By buying tickets, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over, are a resident of Great Britain, and are buying the tickets for yourself.
16. Changes to the Raffle
Burton Pride C.I.C. reserves the right to make changes to the raffle if required.
This may include changes to the draw process, prize arrangements, timings, event details, age or eligibility checks, or administration of the raffle where necessary.
Changes will only be made where Burton Pride C.I.C. considers them reasonable, necessary, or outside of its control.
Where possible, important updates will be shared through official Burton Pride C.I.C. channels.
17. Limitation of Responsibility
Burton Pride C.I.C. will take reasonable steps to run the raffle fairly and responsibly.
However, Burton Pride C.I.C. cannot accept responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, not received, incorrectly submitted, or affected by technical issues outside of our control.
Burton Pride C.I.C. is not responsible for problems caused by incorrect details being provided by an entrant.
Burton Pride C.I.C. is not responsible for issues caused by third-party services, including payment processing systems, email providers, internet problems, or technical failures outside of our control.
18. Agreement to Terms
By buying raffle tickets, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
You also confirm that you are aged 18 or over, are a resident of Great Britain, are buying the tickets for yourself, and have provided accurate contact details.
You understand that Burton Pride C.I.C. may request proof of age, identity, or eligibility before confirming a winner or releasing a prize.
These Terms and Conditions are in place to make sure the raffle is run fairly, safely, transparently, and responsibly for all participants.
